The first tool you will use is the Integrator, brought to you by the same people who make Mathematica. But first, let's start with a very simple problem.
- Who are you?
While you are working on this project, it will probably be a good idea to have both the project and your computational tool available at the same time. Click here to open a second browser window (two windows will be open). Close that window when you're done with the Integrator.
Experiment with the Integrator by trying some random examples. Once you have the idea, find the indefinite integral of f(x) = x sin(x). Type your answer in the box.
Pick a problem from the textbook and use the Integrator to solve it. Print the output and submit it with the rest of your project.
Click on The History of Integration link and read the page. Who was the first person to make a table of integrals? What was his full name and in what context have you heard his name before?
